What’s the difference between a Variety Pack, Class Pack, Classroom Library, and Bookroom?

  • Variety Packs: One copy of each title, packaged in a resealable plastic bag.
  • Class Packs: Six copies of each title, packaged in a resealable plastic bag.
  • Classroom Libraries: One copy of each title, packaged in a labeled plastic book bin.
  • Bookrooms: Six copies of each title bundled in a resealable plastic bag and packaged in a labeled plastic book bin.

Do you sell eBooks or audiobooks?
We only sell print books. However, if you're looking for digital or alternative formats, please fill out our Custom Collection Form and we’ll help you explore available options.

Do you sell single titles?
We do not sell individual titles—our collections are curated to support classroom and group learning needs. Exceptions may be made in case of a large quantity of single titles

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and approved purchase orders.

Do I need an account to place an order?
You do not need to sign up for an account to place an order on our website. We recommend signing up for an account if you’d like to be able to see details and status updates about your order. 

How long are estimates valid?
Estimates are valid for 60 days. If you need more time, please contact us and we will update it and inform you if there have been any changes.

How do I remove tax from my order?
If your organization is tax-exempt, email your exemption form to customerservice@stepstoliteracy.com.
Be sure your exemption is approved before completing your web order.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Many orders typically ship within 3–4 weeks, depending on the contents. Custom and large orders typically ship within 4-6 weeks. Please review your confirmation email for any information about further delays.

  • Orders over $50: Free shipping
  • Orders under $50: $9.99 flat rate

Do you offer international shipping?
We do not ship outside the contiguous United States, but we will do our best to work with you to find alternate options.

Please take a photo of the items and email it to customerservice@stepstoliteracy.com with your order number and a brief description. We’ll make it right!

How do I save items to purchase later?
Our website will save your order on the computer/phone you are using if you have accepted cookies. If there is any concern, you can print or save this page with the contents of your order and email it as a quote.

How do I get a copy of my invoice?

Our collections are curated by certified educators and former classroom teachers who understand classroom needs and current literacy trends.

What happened to Rigby?
The Rigby line has been discontinued by HMH. The remaining collections on our site are the last available. For alternatives, we recommend Red Rocket Readers and Pioneer Valley.
