Focused Literacy Library
Our K-5 Focused Literacy Libraries are designed around the fundamentals of ELAR. For each grade level, you will find focused sets for characterization, plot, setting, and theme. Additionally, you will find a set of nonfiction titles that spans topics and includes examples critical nonfiction text features. Each set has 2 read alouds and 5 high interest independent readers featuring a range of guided reading levels.
A balanced mix of fiction and nonfiction titles for both on-level and above-level readers.
Intermixed with leveled bins of books in each library are concept books, emergent storybooks, read-alouds, and more. Diverse titles are included to provide readers with opportunities to see different aspects of themselves and their communities.
